Keywords are still important. Search engines still look at keywords on a site, but it isn’t the only thing they look at anymore.

Think about it from a search engine’s point of view.

People use a search engine when they are searching for something – information, products, solutions.

If a search engine only gives results that don’t actually help the person doing the search, then the search engine isn’t doing its job, and that person may choose to use a different search engine.

If enough people stop using a search engine, then that search engine company loses money when advertisers move their ads to a different engine.

Google and Google Ads are currently at the top.

So, its in the best interest of the search engine to do whatever they can to make sure that the search results are high-quality sites that will provide solutions and answers for the people doing searches.
